WE ARE CAPTIVATED BY OUR ASSUMPTIONS? (2nd Episode)

PERSONALITY IS SHAPED BY ACCOUNTABILITY FOR ONE'S THOUGHTS AND BEHAVIOR

TOO OFTEN WE FOCUS ON THE IDEAS WE HAVE, INTENTIONALLY OR UNINTENTIONALLY, AND OUR LIVES REVOLVE AROUND THEM. IN THIS REGARD, SELF-ACCOUNTABILITY CAN BE PAINFUL, BUT PEACE OF MIND LIES ONLY IN REAL ACCOUNTABILITY.

3. ‘WHICH EDUCATION?’

In order to escape from the struggle of life, some people started a futile debate on which education to get, religious or secular, then they foolishly classified all the sciences in which they were taught that all modern science and education should be cursed and then this community fell behind the world. Our students, youth, research scholars should not have got involved in this debate. Because if they examined the affairs of only one and a half centuries on the test of time, they would come to the conclusion that four major theories have emerged in this world since the advent of Islam, they were:

(a) Darwin's theory. Evolution (b) Freud's theory of the unconscious (c) Karl Marx's theory of economics and (d) Einstein's theory of relativity. Einstein's theory of relativity was purely scientific. Freud's theory suffered from many contradictions during his time itself. Modern researchers are also making a lot of fun of Darwin's theory. Karl Marx's theory of economics has been in vogue for the last century, but his theory has never been a threat to Islam because the two tenets of Islam weigh heavily on it. The first is the Hadith (sas) that the Ibadat or worship of a person is unacceptable if his neighbor is hungry and the second is that each person has to give two and a half percent of his income to the needy and the poor. What could be a more organized and efficient economic system than this? In order for our students to understand that these four or similar ideologies have not proved to be a challenge to Islam.

Now, in spite of all this, the 'competition' of religious education and secular education continues in our settlements even today. And that is why when it comes to introducing some modern sciences in our religious education institutions, there is often opposition. Students of religious seminaries whose memory is 24  carat gold, who memorize the most important book of this world in their memory with 100% accuracy, are asked if they want to be acquainted with some modern sciences. They are advised to become carpenters, tailors, handkerchiefs on the sidewalk or perfume sellers on the sidewalk. But why are you bent on making them engineers, doctors, bureaucrats? When they are told that it has been proved that those students who have graduated from religious schools are not inferior to anyone and if they come down to the competition, they will all be overwhelmed. We are taking away the most valuable asset from ourselves. In these 75 years of independence, a round table conference has been set up on this subject, but at least now both sides should be ready to discuss what ‘kind’ of education we should obtain and should get the final answer to this question.

4. ‘MY EXAMPLE IS UP FRONT’

Often we give examples of our own success in order to measure the success of the society. People are heard saying: “Where is ignorance, where is helplessness and backwardness? Take my example, I have four sons, all four school toppers, then educated in an organized way. Chose the best coaching. I made such a superb plan that all four sons performed well. Today all four are successful, working globally, one in Canada, another in New Zealand, a third in Germany and a fourth in Los Angeles.

Now do a case study of this mentality of people with such status by asking them a question and also get a possible answer from them:

(1) 'Very well' Your four sons have been successful. However, have others benefited from your knowledge and your efforts? (Answer: No, no one came to me. Some parents made some inquiries but they were not serious and it was not their cup of tea. In fact, they were not made for such efforts and achievements.)

((2 ‘Organized way of reading’ Did you explain it to any other child? (Answer: Why do we start advising someone?)

(3) ‘What is the best coaching’? Did you guide anyone on it?’ (Answer: They all need the best environment and the best planning. The best coaching helps only for such people.)

(4) "Where did you get guidance for higher education and employment in Canada, Germany?" (Answer: You can't imagine the calamity, the trauma I faced and how I ran from piller to post.)

(5) What is the reason for not telling the secrets of the success of your children to your relatives or even close people? (Answer: People become jealous. So I never let anybody know about our efforts. When all of them have gone abroad, I am talking about them.)

Now let us see how these achievements are 'exemplary'. When it comes to sharing your success stories with others, all the idioms and proverbs read in school are repeated, such as rubbing heels, passing through the trauma etc. Why can people with this mentality be called ideal for humanity? Yet they insist that their example is in front of them. Yes their example is in front of everyone but it is an example of selfishness and insensitivity. They are examples of anti-social and inhumane behavior! Yet most of the people everywhere, in every gathering, talk of their 'example'. (Continued ....)
